Cortney Zeigler Ugalde, LPC

Executive Director; Co-Owner

Cortney is a passionate and motivated person centered therapist who pulls from the strengths of relationships to help clients’ develop motivation, and coping skills through the use of person centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Cortney’s clinical experience working in group emergency foster care and community based mental health agencies has helped strengthen her passion for helping others develop respectful and caring relationships with each other.

Ashlyn Dimmick, LPC

Clinical Director &           Therapist

Ashlyn is a licensed professional counselor with experience coming from community based services. Ashlyn has a experience with a wide variety of mental health needs, especially depression, anxiety, and trauma. She works with clients ages 13 and older, as well as families and couples. She emphasizes learning and using skills that are effective for each individual client to meet their goals. She uses a combination of person-centered, CBT, and DBT within a trauma-informed approach.

Joanna Smith, LPC

Therapist (Telehealth Only)

Joanna Smith is a licensed professional counselor dedicated to increasing access to mental health care by providing counseling services online.  The therapy provided stems from a holistic theoretical orientation primarily based on cognitive-behavioral therapy and person-centered theory.  Joanna has a relaxed, friendly approach and believes everyone is capable of experiencing more joy through simple, practical steps.

Ernest is a licensed professional counselor who comes from a background working community mental health services such as mental health skill building in Southwestern Virginia. Ernest is passionate about helping others and is looking forward to helping those in his local area gain access to outpatient therapy services through telehealth. 

Marjorie Barbour, LCSW

Therapist

Marjorie Barbour is a Licensed Clinical Social worker. Marjorie has been working with at risk children and adolescents and their families for over 15 years.  She has experience working with behavioral disturbances and their contributing factors such as depression, anxiety, ADHD and trauma. She has an extensive background in residential services and foster care for children and adolescents. As a trauma informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician, Marjorie strives to meet the client where they are and help them reach their individual goals.

Christine Vazquez is a ATR-BC who has years of experience of being a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. Christine is a Certified Mind Body Medicine Practitioner who loves encouraging others to use imagination and relaxation for healing. She has worked as an ATR-BC for ten years in many different settings.

Jon is a trauma informed, person-centered, and systemic therapist believing in the power our experiences and relationships have on us. Jon’s clinical experience has been with those who are going through “Life’s Transitions” while working in substance use clinics, wilderness programs, community based mental health agencies, and outpatient therapy practices.

Angela DeBoard, Resident in Counseling

Angela DeBoard is a Resident in Counseling. She graduated from Liberty University and has been practicing for two years. She has experience in working with clients who suffer challenges with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, self-esteem, boundaries, and communication, just to name a few. She also has experience in working with adults and teens who have survived sexual violence and adults and children 5 + who have experienced domestic abuse.
