Kellyn understands that the first and most important goal for counseling is building a warm, genuine, and safe relationship with clients. After completing a degree at the University of Mary Washington, she soon realized that her calling was in mental health counseling. While working in the behavioral health field, Kellyn is a graduate student at Walden University and a Certified Trauma Support Specialist.
She believes that our lived experiences shape who we are, the stories we tell ourselves, and the emotional, mental, and behavioral patterns we find ourselves stuck in. Kellyn takes a trauma-informed approach to an integrative practice; one that will meet you where you are and uses various orientations to honor that. Kellyn’s interests include self-acceptance work, mindfulness practices, trauma work, and relationships. Together, Kellyn will help you rewrite old stories and guide you toward a more fulfilling life.
